RUTH & GEOFF

Two people smile at the camera in Beasley Colliseum on the WSU campus

Long Table Camping & Lodging is the brainchild of Ruth Gregory and Geoff Collins. The two were married in 2009 and in 2014 they decided to exit the Seattle rat race and moved to Pullman, Washington. They instantly fell in love with the beautiful Palouse hills and the warm, inviting community. They also noticed a big problem – every big weekend in Pullman there never seemed to be enough lodging. While on a camping trip in their own trailer in Montana in July of 2024, an idea struck them – why not help solve the Pullman lodging problem and open a campground!  Combining together Ruth & Geoff’s love of the Palouse, community, and environmentally conscious design, they started drafting their idea out for Long Table on a ripped up paper grocery bag and never looked back.

When Ruth and Geoff are not brainstorming new business ideas, they enjoy spending time in their own camper. They’ve camped all over the U.S. – from Texas to Maine. But they don’t descriminate, they are into travelling in all forms. They also love spending time with their adult children and their dogs, Teddy and Mabel. Ruth & Geoff are avid fans of the movies and even bigger fans of the new trend of having recliner seats in theaters. However, they would both give up the comfortable chairs to watch a movie in their car at a classic drive-in. One of their favorite places in Pullman is the outdoor Reaney Park Pool. There you can find them water walking most evenings in the summer.

You can reach them at ruth@longtablepullman.com or geoff@longtablepullman.com or stop by the Long Table Camp Store where they are probably hanging out.
